New Mace BearersMae cyngor y dref wedi wynebu'r gofid na fyddai brysgyllwyr ar gael yn dilyn ymddiswyddiad yr efeilliaid, Roy a Ronnie Evans, wedi 26 mlynedd yn y swydd. Pryderwyd am golli'r traddodiad sydd wedi bod mewn grym ers tair canrif bellach. Ond daeth pâr o wirfoddolwyr i'r adwy, sef John a Richard Harman, sydd hefyd yn efeilliaid. Apwyntiwyd hwy yng nghyfarfod sefydlu'r maer ym mis Mai.

The town council faced losing a tradition that dated back almost 300 years after longstanding mace-bearers, twin brothers Ronnnie and Roy Evans, decided to stand down after 26 years' service. Now a new pair of volunteers has stepped forward – and they are also twin brothers ! John and Richard Harman were appointed to their new positions at the town's mayor making installation in May.
